Key Responsibilities

We are looking for Commissioning Manager's to work in the Commissioning Team in the Homelessness Service. This is a small but busy team, responsible for commissioning a range of services across the areas of advice, homelessness, rough sleeping, housing related support, and domestic abuse. Your main duty will be to commission services, ensuring that the tendering and contracting processes run effectively and that contracted services meet the needs of customers. You will ensure that adequate contract monitoring and evaluation systems are in place and used to monitor performance outcomes and impacts on a regular basis. You will have responsibility for managing a small number of staff on the Commissioning Team, including Commissioning Officers and Project Officers. Essential Requirements

About the Candidate We are looking for candidates with a good working knowledge of and background in commissioning and contract management. You should have excellent organisational and planning skills, and the ability to manage and progress multiple areas of work concurrently. A good people manager, you will also have a firm grasp of budgets and have excellent financial planning skills. Ideally you will have some understanding of homelessness and domestic abuse issues and how they impact on people.
